University of Buraimi honors the College of Law team for winning first place in the Moot Court Competition

Under the patronage of Dr. Abdullah bin Said Al-Kalbani, Deputy Vice Chancellor Academics, the University of Buraimi organized an honoring ceremony for the College of Law team, which won first place in the 5th edition of the Omani Moot Court Competition, with the final rounds hosted by Sultan Qaboos University.

The ceremony was held in the Moot Court Hall at the College of Law, during which the following student team members were honored:

  • Noha Al-Siyabiya

  • Arwa Al-Maamariya

  • Kholood Al-Maamariya

  • Tasneem Al-Marzouqiya

The team was trained under the supervision of a distinguished group of faculty members:

  • Dr. Nasser bin Khamis Al-Eisai

  • Dr. Abdullah bin Yahya Al-Maamari

  • Dr. Heba Abu Bakr Awad

  • Prof. Dr. Ahmed Seddik Mahmoud (General Supervisor)

The ceremony also included recognition of the University of Buraimi's student team that excelled in the national Legal Debates Competition, achieving top rankings. The honored members were:

  • Shahd Al-Kalbaniya

  • Mohammed Al-Kalbani

  • Basma Al-Abriya

  • Al-Jaleela Al-Sinaniya

  • Muthla Al-Maktoomiya

  • Aya Al-Maamariya

The event was attended by faculty members from the College of Law and a number of university students.

These achievements reflect the commitment of Dr. Jameel bin Amer Al-Hinai, Dean of the College of Law, to enhancing students' skills in legal research, logical analysis, and oral advocacy through a learning environment that simulates real judicial settings.

The Moot Court Competition is considered an advanced academic platform that promotes practical legal knowledge and contributes to developing critical thinking, legal reasoning, teamwork, and effective communication—essential skills that prepare students for academic and professional excellence.
