UoB Participates in Meeting on Higher Education’s Role in Sustainability

The Universty of Buraimi participated in an introductory meeting organized by the Omani National Commission for Education, Culture and Science and hosted by Majan University College in Muscat, with the participation of several Omani universities and colleges. The university was represented by Dr. Ahmed Al-Abri, Deputy Vice Chancellor for Administrative and Financial Affairs, along with faculty members Dr. Mohammed Al-Ofi, Dr. Al-Mekawi Al-Khadhir Ali, Dr. Abdulkarim Al-Bassi, and Mr. Khalifa bin Musbah Al-Kaabi.

Held under the patronage of H.E. Professor Dr. Rahma bint Ibrahim Al-Mahrouqi, Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, the meeting addressed key themes including sustainability, identity, artificial intelligence, and the role of academic institutions in empowering youth through UNESCO programs. It also emphasized strengthening cooperation between the National Commission and higher education institutions to advance national and global educational and cultural priorities.
