University of Buraimi Students Participate in “Urban October” with a Research Project on Sustainable Concrete in Collaboration with Be’ah

As part of the University of Buraimi’s commitment to strengthening partnerships between higher education institutions and the sustainability and environmental sectors, a group of Engineering College students, supervised by Dr. Ahmed Salah El-Din, participated in the “Urban October” event in collaboration with Be’ah. The research team presented an innovative project on sustainable concrete, aiming to develop practical solutions that contribute to reducing carbon emissions and enhancing the efficiency of materials used in construction. This participation reflects the university’s efforts to promote applied research and innovation in engineering and green construction, in line with Oman Vision 2040 goals for environmental sustainability and urban development. The project drew wide attention from visitors and participants and received positive media coverage, highlighting the students’ active role in developing practical research with real community impact.
